Meagan is the definition of strength.  A single mom who,  fought her way out of a very abusive relationship. She had no family or support, just courage and the want to give her son a better life.  she managed to find a little apartment, a job, and started to rebuild their lives from scratch. Because they left so quickly, they had to leave behind so much. So she worked hard, and saved. But unfortunately at work, her purse was stolen.. along with her phone, cards, and cash. This was devastating because of how much it set her back, but she kept pushing forward because that’s who she is. Then just things showed signs of better..her ex found her. He attacked her in the stairwell of her apartment building, leaving her injured, hospitalized, and unable to work. It's was all very heartbreaking to have watched unfold.  Shes struggling.

Meagan is too proud to ask for help, but she needs it now more than ever. If you can, please consider helping her and her son. Every little bit makes a difference, and I know it would mean the world to her.  Your donations would be going towards helping her with groceries and essentials. Her rent is also due, and also to replace what was stolen from her. It will help make their empty apartment a home.. And go towards her son's Christmas.  She’d planned to make his room special for him—something to help him feel safe and happy again. They both deserve that.

She really is so deserving of this. And she is always so grateful. She allowed her son to make a Christmas wishlist, and she added things needed for the house. I'll post below.

..if we do this together, even a few dollars per person.. we can change her life. Finally give them the start they need.

The $700 raised on this fundraiser went to her son's Christmas, a kitchen table, and partial rent. She wanted me to say how grateful she is that everyone has been so supportive. And she will never forget it.

Meagan was so happy to get back to work yesterday (Jan 22)! She's already asking for more shifts and to pick up shifts, and while she smiles, I can see she is overwhelmed. She came back later than planned bc she had another hospital visit due to her head injury, and at that visit, managed to catch staph infection in her foot/leg! We are paid every 2 weeks .so she won't get a check for 2 more weeks. She's been through so much, it was impossible not to get behind. ..they need groceries, rent will be due again and she is a little behind on that as well...her home wifi is off and her son mostly needs that for school...I'm here to ask if we could pull together and help her until she gets paid at least.

If you donated here last year,  thank you .and if you are thinking about it, please do. We don't have to necessarily get her way ahead but if we could help keep her from getting much further behind, until she can catch up or get stable. Life has thrown everything at her. And she comes to work, grateful to be here and to be able to provide. It's so admirable, but hard, to watch someone give life everything they have in hopes of having a better one..but without help, it's clear it's going to be almost impossible. If you could help this mom and son, you would be helping someone who really wants to help herself. Thank you
