On Thursday, December 21, 2023 during the service of a felony arrest warrant, K9 Broko heroically paid the ultimate sacrifice saving his handler's life as well as multiple officers' lives of the CT State Police Tactical Unit.
“K-9 Broko courageously gave his life protecting his handler, fellow troopers, and our community,” CT State Police said. “K9 Broko was not just a loyal companion; he was a hero in every sense, embodying the values of courage, loyalty, selflessness, and the highest standards of the Connecticut State Police. His sacrifice will forever be etched in our hearts, and never be forgotten.”
This fundraiser is to honor the memory of K-9 Broko, a beloved member of the CT State Police K-9 Unit. K9 Units are an important asset to our State Police force and our community. They are brave, committed, extremely loyal and willing to put themselves in harms way to protect their handlers as well as the community.
