Hi all.
I am going to be having gender affirming top surgery later this year and there are things that I need to start putting into place now so I'm not scrambling when the time comes.
The main things that need to happen before I get surgery are:
-Organization & full cleaning of my apartment
-Acquiring a "tall" recliner or a recliner with lift properties (that is sturdy!)
-Arranging for meals to be prepped for at least two weeks following surgery
-A few accessories (wedge pillow system & such) to modify the things I own already to be safe & helpful while I'm recovering.
-Hire someone to come to my apartment every few days, make sure I'm alive & ok, and help with the Artemis cat things that I won't be able to do (cat litter, anything on the ground like water fountain filling and checking that the auto feeder is full)
These are the things that will allow me to get this life saving surgery & heal appropriately. Things are extra hard since I live alone & don't have a robust (in person) support system here yet but this surgery will help me feel like my body is mine for the first time ever and that is something I've dreamed of.
I just need some help to do all of it. Your donations will be deposited right into my ABLE account & will be used for qualifying disability expenses of which the above are examples of.
