Today, my brothers family lost their home to fire along with 2 cats.
To those of you that know my brother and sister-n-law along with their wonderful son’s(Jayden (18), Gage (4) and Gunnar (2), you know this is just the icing on the cake to what they’ve already been going through.
It all started in July, Anna was suppose to have a hysterectomy, however her pre-op labs came back abnormal. Fastforward through the past several months. Anna has had an ultrasound, MRI, CT scan, liver biopsy (which ended Anna up in the hospital for 4 days) another Mri and another liver biopsy.
Anna was ultimately diagnosed with heptocelluar carcinoma [liver cancer] also a tumor thrombosis in the tight portal vein, an autoimmune liver disease and cirrhosis.
Anna has undergone iron transfusions and will be starting radiation and immunotherapy on Black Friday (for this therapy her little ones can’t live with her for 7-10 days).
Before all of this happened. Anna had lost her job around the Fourth of July (many of you may remember Anna from being your Medical Assistant at PAWS, AHN - Primary Care in Level-Green or at East Suburban OBGYN). Followed by their basement flooding 4 different times (thanks to two water main breaks around their house and then weather related).
That’s not all, their refrigerator of 3 1/2 years broke and most recently their furnace.
Anna will not be able to work while going through cancer treatments.
This is all so unbelievablely overwhelming and scary for this young family.
This financial fundraiser is being set up to alleviate some financial pressure as she continues this health journey and they begin recovering from the fire at their home, in which they will need to rebuild.
We are asking everyone to please pray for the family.
