Siobhan has been my friend since high school, and over the years, I’ve watched her open her heart and home to children who needed a family. She has adopted and raised children who might not have had a home otherwise, always putting their needs first and showing what it means to have a great heart. Recently, Siobhan has found herself homeless, searching for a safe place for herself and her two adopted children. Starting from scratch is never easy, but it’s even harder when you don’t have the support of family.
Siobhan’s story is personal to me. We were teammates and friends over 40 years ago, and that bond has lasted a lifetime. I’ve been blessed with a home in a close-knit community, and I want the same security and sense of belonging for Siobhan and her kids. The funds raised will help her secure an apartment, furnish it, and provide essentials like clothing and school supplies for her children as they start over.
So often, the people we see struggling are strangers. When it’s someone you know, it hits differently. If you are blessed with a home, family, and security like I am, I hope you’ll join me and other 'teammates' in helping Siobhan and her family. Let’s show what it truly means to be a Friend.
