Arafat’s Story

Arafat is 30 years old.

He is a son, a brother, and an uncle — and the primary caregiver for his family in Gaza.

Every day, Arafat wakes up with one purpose: to keep his family alive.

He cares for his father, who lives with Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and gangrene in his foot. His father needs ongoing medical attention and constant supervision. Arafat’s mother suffers from severe cartilage problems, making movement painful and difficult. He also supports his widowed sister and her two young sons, Zain and Mohammed, who depend on him completely.

Before the genocide, Arafat was a talented painter. Today, his life is devoted to protecting those he loves.

He does not ask to be pitied.

He asks not to be alone.

Your support helps cover essential monthly needs:

  • Medical care: $500
  • Shelter/rent: $400
  • Phone & internet: $100
  • Food and basic necessities

Supporting Arafat means standing beside a man who has never stopped showing up for his family, even when the world has failed them.

Thank you for seeing him with dignity.

Thank you for standing with his family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has supported Arafat and his family. Because of your generosity, his mother was able to undergo the first of two operations on her legs, and thankfully, it was successful. ❤️

She is now recovering, but she is still in a great deal of pain and needs continued care and support. Arafat is doing everything he can to keep his mother healthy and comfortable while preparing for the cost of her second operation.

Please continue supporting Arafat if you can. Every donation brings his mother one step closer to the care she needs and means so much to their family.

Arafat Just Wants to See His Mom Without Pain 🤍

It’s incredibly hard to watch someone you love hurt and know the care they need is out of reach.

Arafat’s mom is suffering from painful varicose veins and needs an operation on each of her legs to finally give her some relief. As her son, Arafat wants nothing more than to get his mom the care she needs, but he urgently needs our help to make that possible.

This is his mom. The woman who cared for him, who he now has the chance to care for in return.

Please help Arafat raise the funds for her operations. Every contribution brings his mom closer to treatment and reminds Arafat that he doesn’t have to figure this out alone.

If you can give today, please do. If you can’t, sharing his campaign could help it reach the person who can. Let’s help Arafat take care of his mom. 🤍🍉

Arafat needs our help.

His phone recently broke and needs to be repaired. In Gaza, a phone is not a luxury. It is a lifeline that allows families to stay connected, receive updates, access aid, and communicate during emergencies.

At the same time, Arafat’s mother is suffering from painful nerve problems in her legs and needs treatment. Between medical care, rent, food, and clean water, the costs are quickly becoming impossible to manage.

Arafat continues to live near the yellow line, where shelling and danger remain a daily reality. Despite what many may think, nothing has improved for families like his. Aid parcels are not enough, and survival is still a struggle every day.

If you cannot donate, please share Arafat’s campaign. A simple share can help his story reach someone who can.

Thank you for standing with Arafat and his family. 🇵🇸❤️

At the end of February, Arafat lost his father after a long struggle with his health. For years, Arafat was his father’s caretaker—showing up for him every single day, carrying that responsibility with so much love. His father wasn’t just family, he was a huge part of Arafat’s daily life and purpose. That loss has left a space that can’t be filled.

And still… he has to keep going.

Now Arafat is carrying everything on his own. He’s trying to support his mother, his sister, and his nephews—while grieving someone he cared for so deeply. Rent is still owed, debts haven’t disappeared, and everyday needs like food and medicine are still urgent.

The weight of all of this is unimaginable.

The Prophet Muhammad said: “Whoever relieves a believer’s hardship in this world, Allah will relieve their hardship on the Day of Judgment.”

This is one of those moments where we can truly show up for someone who is struggling to hold everything together.

If you’ve been following Arafat’s story, please don’t stop now. Consistent support—whatever you can give—matters more than you know.

Let’s show up for him in a real, tangible way.

Arafat is doing everything he can to keep his family safe, but tonight they are facing an impossible deadline. They urgently need $400 to cover rent — just $400 standing between them and losing the little stability they have left.

In Gaza, finding shelter is already unimaginably hard. Prices have skyrocketed, safe spaces are disappearing, and every day is a fight to survive. Helping Arafat secure this month’s rent means keeping a roof over his sick father and ensuring his family has a place to sleep, rest, and stay protected.

If you’ve been meaning to help, please don’t wait. Even $5 or $10 makes a real difference when shared. Your donation today directly keeps this family housed.

💛 Please donate if you can, and share widely. Every minute counts.

Thank you for showing up for Arafat and his family in their most urgent moments.
