My childhood best friend Josie is in the hospital with liver failure that spread to her kidneys.
She was admitted in to Cayuga Medical Center for fatigue and declined quickly. She was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center where she is currently stable, intubated, and on dialysis.
She has some low-coverage health insurance through her work, but between the two hospital stays and the airlift, her healthcare has become a huge financial burden on her and her family.
