This is a fundraiser to help support my dad for our dog Joe’s leg surgery.

My grandmother who I grew up with my whole life had to be emergently placed in a long term care facility due to safety concerns from her ongoing memory loss this past year. At the time she had two animals which had to be relocated or else they would be up for adoption or would be euthanized. My dad stepped up and took in Joey without hesitation despite already having a dog and other obligations. Joe has been adapting well and loves his new home and was able to visit my grandmother here and there before her passing this past December.

Since then my dad has been doing the best to give Joey a full life and took him on his first play date with a fellow neighbor on Monday February 3rd.

He came back from the visit visibly in pain and no longer able to bear weight on his back leg. Two different opinions later and unfortunately Joe has a pretty bad torn ligament and needs emergent surgery. Joey is not insured so the surgery will cost out of pocket up to 7k. With what’s left of my grandmothers assets we are looking at atleast 5k for the surgery. I’m just hoping to lessen the burden of the surgery on my parents.. any thing given would be greatly appreciated!
