My mother’s apartment in Ukraine was completely destroyed by fire after a missile/drone attack. She barely escaped alive, running out in her pajamas, without documents, clothes, or any belongings.
My mother already had a serious leg injury and a torn ligament, so escaping the burning apartment was extremely difficult for her.
We are deeply grateful that she is alive. But it is devastating and terrifying when a person loses everything in one moment — their home, memories, clothes, furniture, documents, and the feeling of safety.
She is now left with nothing and urgently needs help with temporary housing, medical care, clothes, food, basic necessities, and the first steps toward rebuilding her life.
