GAZA EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND
May 2026
Hi, I’m Melissa, a mom, abolitionist, and mutual aid organizer from the U.S. I’m also an Ashkenazi Jew and that comes with a particular obligation that I don’t take lightly. I created my first campaign for a family in Gaza in March 2024 and I currently have 15 active campaigns. I’ve personally sent nearly $175,000 directly to civilian families through my campaigns. Everyone I’ve met along the way has been incredibly kind and I feel truly honored to know them. I just wish it were under different circumstances.
This is what our friends in Gaza have endured for two and a half years:
• No clean water. No sanitation. No electricity.
• No functioning infrastructure. Aid is still not getting in.
• Endless bombings and shootings— people are killed every day. There is no ceasefire, just a slower genocide.
• Most people are living in tents. Sewage flows between them. Rats and insects swarm through them, biting children and infants. Hospitals are treating dozens of cases daily from bites and infections alone.
• Almost entirely collapsed health system, in which even treatable health problems can become life threatening.
• No safety. No stability. No end in sight.
The most revolutionary thing we can do right now is keep them alive.
Here’s what I know from mutual aid work: your money makes a real difference.
Donations buy a meal, cover rent, purchase diapers and formula. It means a child doesn’t go to bed hungry that night.
Why This Fund
Fundraising for Gaza has always been difficult. Since the fake ceasefire, it’s gotten even harder. Donations have dried up, and many families have stopped trying to raise money for themselves — not because the need has gone away, but because they’re exhausted. Asking strangers for help while surviving a genocide is humiliating and it feels futile. These were people with careers, homes, full lives. This should not be happening.
This fund means I can send money quickly when something urgent comes up — without putting the burden of asking back on them.
How Funds Are Used
Donations go to vetted families and individuals for urgent needs — food, medical care, rent, university fees, expenses that can’t wait. I provide receipts and will update this campaign as funds are distributed so you always know exactly where the money went.
Thank you for reading and for caring.
