I wanted to reach out to all of you because I’m looking to raise money for my upcoming album. As you know I am an artist and singersongwriter, and I moved to Los Angeles to achieve my goals.
In two years, I’ve released an EP(smaller album), had incredible music sessions with big producers, met with record labels, performed in esteemed venues around Los Angeles, and made incredible connections that have contributed to my growth.
The landscape of music has changed in incredibly in terms of funding. Record labels are no longer signing artists before they are big, and most artists go to private investors/ friends and family to fund their music. I have the opportunity to make an album with a connected and talented producer who would really help grow my career. I do work a full time job, and all of my extra money goes to my music however, it is not enough to fund marketing and the whole album.
for a little more context: The average cost to make ONE song in US is around 2500. And that does not include : mixing and mastering which is an added 500-1000 more. In addition, marketing is key in terms of post release strategy.
My first goal is to make the best album I can, then pitch it to record labels and further investors for marketing costs.
This is why I am asking you guys to please donate to help fund my album. If we make an incredible album, this can be the game changer in taking my career to the next level.
If anyone gives 5k or more I will provide percentage of my “masters”, which would be an incredible investment.
