Clementine is 3 & a half years old. She started out with a limp approximately 8 months ago. It was there for a minute and then she'd be fine. Then 1 day it lasted a lot longer. She's very smart so I thought maybe she was faking because she noticed the extra special attention she would receive during her episodes. Just to be safe I took her to our vet. He said she had some swelling in her hind quarters and wanted to treat it with some medication hoping that would take care of the situation. Well long story short, it did not. She became worse, to the point she will crawl with her front paws while dragging her rear and back legs. Took her back to the vet. After the exam I was informed that her back knee's were sludding in and out of socket. The only fix for her situation is surgery. I was told I would need an orthopedic surgeon and that I would have to call around to find 1. They had no refferals. So I did just that only to be told repeatedly they did not have that service. Finally after a week of searching I found a place and scheduled a surgery consult. At this appointment I'm told she has cranial hemorrhage in both back joints and the 1 knee is more or less floating in and out of socket. Surgery is a must. I was Givin a low end and high end estimate, low end being $4,200.00 high end being $5,400.00. I'm on a fixed income of $900 and disabled myself. I will do what I must to ensure she gets her surgery. So here I am asking for help. I do have a car that a friend is going to fix the power steering problem on so I can sale it and put the $ towards her surgery. I'm looking selling personal things. All the $ will go towards her surgery. As I sale these items I will update the amount needed on my posting. Anything you can help with will be greatly appreciated. I won't sit by doing nothing while she's in pain and going lame at 3 & a jalf years old. Thank you for reading Clementine's story.
