Where do I begin?
Well, I’ll start with when I had Bariatric surgery over 5 years ago for medical reasons. I am a diabetic, who was afraid of dying from being overweight, sugars getting out of control despite doing everything and anything I could to keep them down. I watched multiple family members pass from diabetes- related illness. I didn’t want to be another statistic. I took the plunge and had the surgery.
After a couple of years, I noticed how my diligent eating and exercise was paying off. The weight was just melting away, but the one downside was the extra skin that just won’t go anywhere. I have lost over 103lbs and in the best health ever, but no matter how much I exercise, it will not disappear. I first went to the Dr. to see about getting it removed because it chafes when I am running, therefor hurts. I tried to get my insurance to cover the costs, but they will not. I had been saving for 2 years, but a family emergency took priority and drained my savings. I have tried every and anything possible, but I am in desperate need to have this surgery for the betterment of not only my physical, but my mental health. Running is my mental therapy. I run to clear my head from all that is going on in my life. I have experienced the loss of my nephew, turmoil in my marriage, therapy, and so much more. Running has saved me in so many ways. If I was to have this surgery, it would enhance my running capability to be pain free in my inner thighs. The relief would be monumental. I would be most grateful for any and all help that you could give.
Thank you so much!
