Hi! I'm Haley, and I am Miss Kentucky 2021, competing for the job of Miss America on December 16, 2021. I am so excited for the opportunity to show America how amazing Kentucky is and to check a lifelong dream off of my bucket list while earning scholarship money and fostering amazing friendships.

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to become a role model and a source of encouragement for those who need it most. I come from a rural, small town in eastern Kentucky, where statistics tell small children and adults alike that the best hope they will have is a good example.

I set out at a young age to be that example. I am a first generation college student; I recently became the only person in my entire family to hold a master's degree. I also strive to encourage others to put their passion into community service initiatives. My social impact initiative, "A Stitch of Hope: Alzheimer's Awareness," seeks to educate people on the importance of caring for elderly patients with Alzheimer's disease and using one's own unique sets of skills and talents to increase patient quality of life. It's an ode to my Papaw P., who fought this disease and lost in 2013 when I was 15 years old. Additionally, I hope to continue the fight against Alzheimer's disease in clinical practice by using my master's degree as a geriatrtic speech pathologist. So, my social impact intiative is a lifelong part of my story, not simply a chapter in my competiton history.

When I'm not working my 24/7 job as Miss Kentucky through our AMAZING Department of Agriculture, I enjoy spending time outside hiking, running, and watching Kentucky sunsets. I find joy in exercising, cooking (especially breakfast food), trying new restaurants (again, especially breakfast food), spending time with friends and family, singing any chance I get, and going to visit with residents in my hometown nursing home (COVID permitting!).

As you know, this year YOU have a say in who will win the coveted "America's Choice" scholarship! This award, to me, is a great honor. It means that America sees something special in this little ol' Eastern Kentucky gal. I can only hope that this brief time spent reading my description will convince you to cast your votes in my direction!

It’s time for America’s Choice! This is your chance to have your voice heard in who you think exemplifies the qualities of Miss America as a leader, servant, and role model for young women. This year we’re offering a $5,000 scholarship to the winner to help her advance her education and achieve her life and career goals.

To vote, click your favorite candidate below to go to her page. Each dollar donated equals 1 vote, so the candidate with the most donations will win the America’s Choice scholarship. In addition to the $5,000 scholarship, she will be recognized on-stage during the Preliminary Competition at Mohegan Sun in December.

Voting has no impact on placement in the Final Night Competition. As a 501(c)4 nonprofit under IRS regulations, all donations to The Miss America Organization are not tax-deductible.

The Miss America Organization, a 501(c) (4), is one of the most recognizable household names in America working to empower young women through education and service. The Miss America Organization is comprised of 51 licensed state organizations, including all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The organization awards more than five million dollars in cash scholarships and millions more in-kind per year through national, state, and local programs.
