Update: Need #2: 4/7/2026 Mohammed Jamal urgently needs surgery to close a big open wound on his abdomen, which never properly healed and causes him ongoing pain. Altogether, the cost of the surgery is around $2500. During the genocide, a building he was in was bombed, and his abdomen was sliced open. Obviously, there was no decent way to access the medical technology necessary to fully close this wound, and so for far too long he has lived with a massive semi-open sore that sometimes opens. He struggles to work at any physical job this way and has harmed himself repeatedly trying to. Please help him get to the other side.

UPDATE: Need #1 - August 2, 2025 Mohammed Jamal desperately needs temporary assistance over the next few months until he can get appropriate medical treatment for his injuries and is well enough to work. In the meantime, he is trying to work to make ends meet and hurting himself in the process. He needs a blood pressure medication that is roughly $90 a month, and help with rent, which is $380, and of course something for food. $600 a month would help him get by until he can get back on his feet and work.

Update 5/29/2025: Mohammed evacuated and is now safely in another country. Now his needs are for his remaining family members in Gaza. His Father and stepmother are starving and in a dangerous condition. He wants to send money for them to eat something. Their lives are in danger purely from starvation. Mohammed's father was a Judge in Gaza for many years. Please help us send food to his father and stepmother. His stepmother has cancer, and his father has a heart condition. His father was supposed to have surgery before the genocide. He refuses to leave their family's land in Gaza. Both are unwell and suffering greatly from hunger.

Please share this fund and contribute what you can. If you prefer to pay through Paypal Mohammed's Chuffed is here to provide that option: https://chuffed.org/project/115338-urgent-help-moe-get-vital-medical-treatment

Mohammed Jamal is finally indoors out of the cold and the elements. He still needs urgent medical care for his injuries that were sustained while he was in Gaza. These injuries include a massive open wound to his abdominal area which could never be closed properly and still occasionally reopens, leaving him in enormous pain and open to infection.

His eye was injured. Many of his teeth are broken which make eating painful.

In the last, month, while he remained outside, he was also hit by a car. I'm not yet clear what type of injuries he sustained from what, but he is still with us and trying his best to survive.

The cost of his medical surgeries is around $2500, and there is a limited time before he would need an additional $800 to also renew his Indonesian residency. We are hoping he can be treated before this.

The other option he has is to pay $170 to renew his Palestinian passport, which may allow him to go to Europe where his treatment may be much less money.  There are no guarantees he would be approved to go but so far it sounds like an option. This process would likely cost under $600 for his passport, flight, and insurance.

Any help you can provide would mean the world.

Mohammed Jamal desperately needs temporary assistance over the next few months until he can get appropriate medical treatment for his injuries and is well enough to work. In the meantime, he is trying to work to make ends meet and hurting himself in the process. He needs a blood pressure medication that is roughly $90 a month, help with rent which is $380, and to obtain health insurance in Indonesia ( where he evacuated) which is roughly $120 to sign up and $30 a month after. He needs assistance for 3-4 months. I am pitching in to help, but my finances were cut short this month and he still needs and deserves assistance. He wants nothing more than to work hard and pay his own bills, but he needs help urgently right now. Please share this fund. If you are donating for Mohammed Jamal please mark that donation with a comment or he will send everything for Noor. Noor still does need help, and I will update on her situation over the next few days. Thank you so much.

I want to issue a huge thank you to those who donated to get Noor into the hospital. We are still awaiting answers about her condition, but she received the needed test and is now receiving treatments based on that.

I will come back to modify this if incorrect but we were able to put the $340 down and towards her treatment. I. believe there is still $1000 needed for her initial bill for treatment. I'm hearing that the hospital is charging $4000 for the diagnostic report. I hope this part isn't true, but I included it in the goal just in case.

We have a secondary need. Mohammed Jamal has been out of Gaza for nearly a year. While in Gaza, he sustained multiple injuries. His leg was injured, separately his teeth and eye sustained damage, and most urgently, his abdomen was sliced pretty fully open at one point. Several doctors tried to close up this wound, but the surrounding tissue wasn't in great shape, which complicated closing it. It just sort of healed how it healed. His teeth were broken from a number of incidents.

Since leaving, he has found a job doing rather physical labor, hauling heavy things. His food and shelter are covered, but he was never properly treated for his injuries. He's struggling with his job because of his injuries and urgently needs to get them treated. Where he is insurance covers medical needs, but he doesn't have the $153 down to cover registration or the $33 a month to cover monthly, so he is trying to WORK HARDER to earn more to cover these things, and he honestly is in no condition to do that. $300 would cover sign-up and 4 months. That would be a needed and helpful support. Even $153 would be a huge help to get him started. If you can contribute, please do. If you have a preference about which persons' needs are addressed when you send, please mention the name in a comment. Both are included in the new goal. Both of these are short-term urgent needs that can be met and hopefully resolved.

Please share this fund and please contribute if you can.

Unfortunately Mohammed was at Rufayda school when it was hit by missiles in a recent attack. He was not outwardly injured, but his abdominal injury began bleeding and he began bleeding from his nose and ears due to the pressure. As the day wore on he was persistently dizzy so he went to the hospital near him and was given the new that if he does not get surgery very soon he will lose sight in his right eye and possibly also his left. His corneas have been impacted by the blast pressure he has endured several times now. He is terrified and angry. Please help him by sharing his fund as widely as you can and contribute what you are able to when you can. If we can get to his goal soon we can save his eyesight and get him the surgeries he needs so badly.

We are sad to say we did not meet the narrow but aggressive time window goal to evacuate Mohammed before his opportunity passed. We are, however, grateful that he was able to obtain antibiotics and other medications that he lacked throughout the ongoing genocide. Some for ongoing health issues and several for his injury and infection. We have also recently been able to help him with the cost of a tent which he sorely needed. He has been more or less unable to sleep since 1) he gave his tent to someone else with a need for one and then 2) his area was inundated with those evacuating other places, so there was nowhere to even sit down. He will now have a tent, a little bit of his own space, and maybe some quiet to sleep in when he is fortunate.

Thank you infinitely for your support. If you have even $5 at any point, please pitch in to help our lawyer friend, who looks forward to life after this nightmare and the opportunity to help others again.

His remaining short-term needs are a Jacket ( about $80) and a mattress (we are exploring costs for this), as well as food and ongoing medication needs for health maintenance. His greatest need is $5000 for evacuation when the crossing opens, which we all hope will be soon.
