Honestly, asking for help is HARD for me. I would much rather be the person helping somebody else. But right now, I have to put my pride aside and admit that I am overwhelmed and I need some help.
I’m a single mom doing everything I can to provide for my daughter and keep our heads above water. I work. I hustle. I try to find extra ways to make money. I’m not sitting around waiting for somebody else to take care of us.
But this year has been one thing after another, and every time I feel like I’m about to catch my breath, something else happens.
Right now, I’m trying to raise $2,000 to help me take care of several urgent expenses that I simply cannot keep juggling on top of my normal monthly bills.
Some of the biggest needs right now are:
$425 — Urgent roof repair
$570 — An important outstanding bill
$300 — Another bill that needs caught up
Approximately $800 — Necessary repairs to my vehicle so I can get it inspected and safely keep working
I realize those numbers total more than my $2,000 goal. I’m not expecting GoFundMe to magically fix everything. I’m simply trying to take a HUGE chunk of this weight off my shoulders so that my regular income can start going toward staying current instead of constantly trying to put out fires.
The roof is my first priority. I’m hoping to have someone come this Saturday to repair it, and I need approximately $425 in cash to get that taken care of.
My vehicle is another major concern. I need my vehicle to work and provide for my daughter, but right now I’m driving it without a current inspection because it needs approximately $800 worth of work before I can get everything taken care of.
On top of these expenses, I still have all of the normal responsibilities that don’t stop just because life gets hard—housing, utilities, insurance, groceries, and everything that comes with raising a child.
And I am tired.
Not lazy.
Not unwilling to work.
Tired.
Being a single parent means trying to be everything at once. I’m supposed to work enough to pay the bills. I’m supposed to be present for my daughter. I’m supposed to take care of the house. I’m supposed to figure out every emergency. I’m supposed to be there for her emotionally while somehow holding myself together emotionally too.
Lately, I feel like I’m failing at all of it because the financial stress has become so heavy.
There are days when I physically feel sick from worrying about money and trying to figure out which bill gets paid first. I hate that the stress follows me into my time with my daughter because she deserves a mom who can be present with her instead of constantly calculating bills in her head.
There is also more happening behind the scenes than I am comfortable sharing publicly. I don’t need or want pity. I don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me.
I just need a break.
I need enough breathing room to take care of these immediate problems so I can keep working and start moving FORWARD instead of constantly trying to catch up.
So I’m doing something that is incredibly uncomfortable for me.
I’m asking for help.
If you’re able to donate—even $5, $10, or $20—it adds up, and I will be incredibly grateful.
And if you genuinely cannot donate, PLEASE SHARE THIS. Sharing costs nothing, but it could put this fundraiser in front of someone who is able to help.
Share it once. Share it again. Send it to somebody. Every share gives this a chance to reach another person.
My goal isn’t to have somebody come rescue me from life.
My goal is to get enough of this weight off my shoulders that I can finally get my footing again and keep doing what I’ve been doing—working my ass off to build a better, more stable life for my daughter and me.
Thank you to every single person who donates, shares, prays for us, or simply takes the time to read this.
I truly mean that.
I’m believing that somehow, some way, we are going to get through this. ❤️
