Andie's work colleague encouraged us to join him in Peaks with a Purpose, a skiing-based fundraiser. We are raising money for military veterans through the organization Home Base https://homebase.org/about-us. Founded in 2009, Home Base is dedicated to healing the invisible wounds and trauma of war for all veterans. They provide clinical care and education, and they also fund research to further understand what we can do to help.
On Sunday March 5th, our family (not including Amity) will attempt to ski a combined 100,000 vertical feet at Sunday River. That's a bit like skiing the run White Heat 75 times, though we definitely won't try to hit our goal in that way!
