I am Demetria L. Kendrick-Snorton, your Miss Black Kentucky USA 2022. I have the pleasure of representing the state of Kentucky in the Miss Black USA competition this August in our nation's capitol.
The Miss Black USA Organization is the first and largest scholarship pageant for women of color, awarding over $500,000 in scholarships. The pageant empowers women to own their power and celebrates their unique talents, traits and beauty. Miss Black USA defines her own standard of beauty and celebrates the whole women, mind, body and spirit, all shades of brown, hair texture and size. Miss Black USA is a non-profit corporation headquartered in the state of Maryland.
As Miss Kentucky, not only do I plan on competing on the national level, I want to continue fighting and advocating for many things. With my platform, Mindful Mentorship, I aim to intentionally mentor children and youth by promoting STEAM education, positive self-esteem, and faith based living.
In order to compete nationally, I need your help. I have a goal of raising at least $5000. This will aid me in my journey to becoming Miss Black USA. It will help cover my flights to and from DC, hotel, pageant fees, and other needs in order to best showcase my talent, state, and its uniqueness. Please consider making a contribution to my goal by sewing a seed, no donation is too small! Thank you in advanced!
