Vinny Update

I received Vinny’s repeat test results, and I’m so relieved to share that everything looks great. His liver values are strong, and his overall outlook is very encouraging.

He has completed two courses of antibiotics and is finishing his prescribed liver medication. The improvement has truly been remarkable. The nausea, vomiting, constipation, and diarrhea have resolved. He no longer requires IV fluids or additional procedures, and he is now on a special diet to help keep his body stable and supported.

His appetite has returned, and for the first time in weeks, he genuinely feels like himself again. He’s back to playing with his brother Theo and moving comfortably through the apartment. Seeing him at ease again has meant everything.

Vinny has always been a survivor. He came from a feral background and endured harsh conditions long before he found safety. That resilience is part of who he is and part of why I believed he deserved every chance.

Because of your generosity, I was able to act quickly. And when cats become critically ill, time truly matters. Your donations, shares, messages, and support made it possible for me to move forward with emergency care without hesitation. That made all the difference.

I want to be transparent that I am still carrying a significant portion of the veterinary debt and am behind on some bills due to the emergency treatment. However, Vinny is now stable and recovering well.

With that, I will be closing the fundraiser at this time. I am deeply grateful for every person who helped us through this critical season. Your kindness quite literally helped save his life.

Update on Vinny: Y he hasn't been able to poop and his belly keeps distending. Cats are amazing at hiding pain, often until things get serious, which is why watching bathroom habits, food, and water intake is so important- especially in a multi-cat household. I'm so worried about toxins continuing to build up in his body. Even though he looks comfortable resting, his ultrasound showed significant inflammation and thickening, and I know he's not feeling well.

Vinny is my soul friend. He came into my life for a reason, and it's been heartbreaking to rescue a feral cat, grow so attached, and then learn about all the health issues he's been carrying. He's been extra affectionate lately, and I can feel he's struggling. My anxiety has been really high today, and I've been crying out of fear of losing him. He'll need ongoing veterinary care, and I'll be calling the vet first thing in the morning to be seen early and figure out next steps. Any support, prayers, or donations to help with his care would mean the world.
