Delilah, my daughter, has always been driven by a sense of adventure and determination. At just 19, she’s been dreaming of exploring new horizons, and now she’s focusing on an ambitious road trip from Orange Park to Seattle, where she'll then fly to Alaska to visit colleges. Her excitement for this journey reflects her passion for education and her relentless curiosity about the world. She’s already saved over $6,000 by working full-time at Dick's Sporting Goods, picking up every shift she can, and even working doubles. Her dedication inspires me daily.
This trip isn’t just about seeing a new place; it represents Delilah’s leap towards independence and self-discovery. She's meticulously planned her route, eager to experience the vast landscapes and different cultures along the way. However, the next step for her is purchasing a reliable car to make this journey possible. Despite her savings and the support from working tirelessly, meeting the full cost of the trip and the car remains a challenge.
Delilah also just completed her first semester at St. John’s Community College, and flying to Alaska to visit potential colleges is an essential part of her educational journey. This experience will give her the insights she needs to choose the right path for her future. Supporting Delilah means more than just helping her financially – it’s about empowering her to chase her dreams and create her own path. Her enthusiasm, hard work, and determination are truly remarkable, and I have no doubt that she will make the most of every opportunity this trip offers.
