My name is Clarie; I am Haitian. I come from a family of 10 siblings. My mother worked for the department of Agriculture in Haiti, and she was also a caterer. It was through her that some of us discover the love of food and cooking. When we moved to the United States, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I started working for the US Government. During COVID, I went back to school and got a master's in public health. With all that, I never stopped cooking for my family and friends who always encouraged me to open my new place. I never did it because I was scared; I am a divorced mother with 2 wonderful daughters who always supported in starting my own restaurant business.
About 3 months ago, I got fired from my government job because of the DOGE fiasco. I tried to apply to many jobs, with no success, because the job market is so untrustworthy, I said to myself that it's time to take a leap of faith and open my restaurant. I have been through lot in life, but I always survived. I know starting a new business is a big risk, but I am a dedicated and resilient person. I know I will succeed.
I am asking for your help because getting a loan; these days it's not easy. Whatever contribution you can bring, will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support. May God bless you.
