Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Strangers,
Our dear family member, Brenda Starkey Wolff, has been given the devastating news that she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. After extensive tests, her doctors have provided a timeline of 2 months - with God’s will more than 2 years depending on how she responds to treatment. Brenda has already started her treatment journey, but this is only the beginning of what will be an incredibly difficult battle.
To make matters even more overwhelming, Brenda’s husband, Aaron, was recently let go from his job of 5+ years, leaving their family in an even more fragile financial position. On top of this, Brenda and Aaron care for their special needs son, Bobby, who is turning 19 this year. Bobby requires ongoing support and attention. He is currently in a school program that provides him with a steady routine and daily care, but his needs continue to put additional pressure on the family.
As Brenda faces her battle with cancer, her family is also struggling with the financial burden of medical costs, travel expenses for treatments, and everyday living costs. Brenda does not have life insurance, and as hard as it is to think about, funeral costs will also become a reality sooner than any of us would hope.
The Wolff family needs our help now more than ever. We are asking for your kindness and generosity to help cover:
- Travel expenses for medical treatments and doctor visits
- Care for Bobby when Brenda and Aaron are occupied with medical needs
- Everyday expenses, including groceries and utility bills
- Funeral costs to relieve some of the financial burden when that time comes
