Hi Friends,
My name is Tracii Black, and I am honored to be raising funds through the AHA Go Red for Women x Miss America collaboration to support women’s heart health and educational scholarships.
I came to America at the age of 11, navigating a new country, culture, and school system largely on my own. Like many first-generation immigrants, my journey has not been linear. I have experienced setbacks, uncertainty, and moments of having to rebuild — but through it all, I have continued to stand strong and move forward.
Today, at 27, I am returning to school to pursue a career in healthcare. I am currently enrolled in a CNA program and working toward becoming a Registered Nurse. My heart is deeply rooted in helping others — bringing comfort, care, and encouragement into people’s lives during moments when they need it most.
This journey has taught me that it’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to start again, and most importantly, it’s okay to believe in yourself. Supporting this campaign allows me to give back to women through both education and health advocacy — two things that have shaped my own life profoundly.
Thank you for supporting not just my journey, but a future where more women have access to opportunity, care, and the chance to rise.
With gratitude,
Tracii Black
