I wasn't expecting life to take such a sharp turn. After my spinal fusion surgery in June, I've been out of work and will be until 2026. This setback has hit us hard, especially now that our car, a crucial lifeline, needs an urgent and costly repair. Just when I thought things couldn’t get more complicated, our water pump failed, and with no income, I can't afford to fix it.
My wife’s chronic health issues mean we need dependable transportation for her medical appointments. The thought of being stranded without it is terrifying, especially since it will be vital for my recovery and eventual return to work. Each day, the uncertainty gnaws at me, and it's hard not to feel a wave of anxiety about what comes next.
We’ve always managed to handle whatever life throws our way, taking pride in our independence. But now, reaching out for help feels like my only option. It's not easy admitting we need support, but I’m hopeful that with a little assistance, we can find solid ground again.
