In the heart of DeSoto County, Florida, Hope DeSoto Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG) was born from the devastation of Hurricane Ian and strengthened through Hurricane Milton. We saw our neighbors lose homes, belongings, and hope — and we knew recovery couldn’t stop at short-term aid.
Hope DeSoto exists to help our community fully recover and become stronger. We provide preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation assistance. We partner with local organizations to rebuild homes, support families, and reduce future disaster impacts — all with dignity and without discrimination.
From coordinating volunteer repairs to distributing emergency resources and building community resilience programs, we’re here for the long haul. Our goal is simple but powerful: help every DeSoto County resident recover fully and prepare for whatever comes next.
Today, we’re raising $25,000 to fund critical community resilience efforts — including supplies, training, a new storage facility for disaster resources, and ongoing recovery projects that make our area safer and more prepared.
Your donation directly helps real families in our rural community rebuild their lives and stand stronger together.
Every dollar brings hope, resilience, and a brighter future to DeSoto County.
Please join us. Together, we can turn hardship into strength.
Thank you for standing with Hope DeSoto LTRG.
