My Study Abroad Journey to Belize 🇧🇿 🌎
Hi everyone! My name is Autumn Claybrooks, and I’m currently a senior at Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in Elementary Education. Teaching has always been my passion — I truly believe that creating joyful, imaginative, and inclusive classrooms can change children’s lives.
This upcoming Spring 2026, I’ve been given an incredible opportunity to complete my student teaching residency abroad in Belize through MTSU’s Consortium for Overseas Student Teaching (COST) program. This experience will allow me to teach in an international classroom, learn from diverse educators, and grow as both a teacher and global citizen.
While I am beyond excited for this journey, there are still significant expenses that come with it — including travel, housing, food, and teaching materials while I’m in Belize. I’m working hard to save what I can from my two jobs and scholarships, but I would be so grateful for any financial contribution to help me reach this goal.
Every bit of encouragement, love, and financial support means the world to me and brings me one step closer to reaching my goal of becoming the kind of teacher who inspires students everywhere — no matter where they come from. 🌍🤍
Thank you for supporting me, believing in me, and helping me take this huge next step in my journey as an educator.
With love and gratitude,
Autumn Claybrooks
