Hi y'all,
My name is Alliyah and during my fall semester in college, I met Maria Delgado. She's 61 year old, Puerto Rican, and the sweetest soul. With no means of transportation, she works two jobs, one being custodial work at my college every weekday for 7+ hours on her feet. Maria trusted me enough to open up about her unsafe living situation, mistreatment from family and others (not able to specify), severe church-hurt, and her not being able to pursue what makes her happy (art). The one thing that really hurt my heart was that she was losing faith in God and losing sight of who God says He is. My goal is to partner with you all in helping Maria stay afloat finacially and rekindling her fire for God. ANY donation is cherished and appreiciated and I know God will bless you tenfold for you're willingness to be generous. My plan is to go back to campus and surprise her with what we've raised!
