this is a picture of my wonderful mother. Her Name is Phyllis Picett standing next to my younger brother, her youngest Chad. i'm her her middle son Wyatt. I also have an older brother joe. This was our beautiful mom until the morning of April 10,2022.My dad woke iup to find my mom had had a sever stoke. i love my mom dearly. We live in Garden City, Ks and she is currently at St, Francis Hops. in Wichita 3 1/2 hours away. my dad is devistated, remains by her side almost 24/7, however he does need to go home for clothes and a break at times. You see my mom is barley responsive,and after more 50 days is still on a ventolator. The doctors have informed us that in "most cases" stroke survivers are off the ventorlator by this time in recovery. And my mom is a long way away from being taken off the ventorlatort. Shes makeing progress, but its very slow.And will need to be in this "Select" program for stroke survivers for some time. I'm taking 2months off work at Subway in Garden City to be with my mother as much as possible, but also to relieve my dad.l i had ernough in sasvings to pay my rent and utilities for the next 2 months. What I don,t have is funds to travel to wichita and back to once or twice a week.My brother Joe drives us. He's fully disabled, double leg amputy due to diobetis so also has very limited income. this fund raiser is for my brother and I to be able to afford fuel and lodging for at least the next 2 months. I would also just like to mention that ive lived ikn Denver C0.for the last 20 years until my younger brother passed away. One year ago i decided to come home to spend time with my mother and my brother. We meant to hang out more and promised that we'd get together and life gets in the way. We really never got to spend that time together that we wanted to. Now my mom needs me and if God wills it i will be with my mom as much as possible durning this season of recovery and rehabilitation. And I need your help. Please. Thank you. Sincerely, Wyatt Curry
