Update: 8/5/26

It’s been a whirlwind since the fire took place, juggling and balancing so many moving parts to bring some stability back into focus. We’ve found temporary housing until the 15th at the least (rather, it found us 🙏), and we are working our way into unscramble mode from this disaster.

From the depths of ourselves, we thank you all for the outpouring of support, community, donations (time, prayers, helping hands, fiduciary contributions, & the tangible), gifts, and care. God is good, and we are blessed. I pray we’ll be able to repay the kindness we’ve received one day. With our deepest gratitude, we thank you all ❤️

Sincere regards,

MiMi (Amy) & Japheth and family

Update:7/31/26. TOTAL LOSS

Quick update. We are tired lol but we are together and alive and deeply humbled and grateful for the outpouring of support and helping hands and donations. Most immediately needed now is housing. We have a spot until Saturday morning and so for now we’re just taking it moment by moment. We’ve been at the property all week sorting through with attempts to salvage the salvageable, and have realized at this point that we were more hopeful than the reality is of fire damage. This is a complete loss. From the depths of me, we thank you all!! Please forgive me for any calls and messages that I’ve missed as there have been so many, and I’m so eternally grateful. If I’ve not gotten back to you, please try again. There are so many moving parts that were juggling right now. God bless you all and much love.

Help Our Family Rebuild After a House Fire

Hey y’all, Yesterday, a devastating house fire destroyed our home, leaving our family with nothing and nowhere to live. In moments, we lost our home, a lot of belongings, and the place where we felt safe.

We just paid all our bills, but we live paycheck to paycheck like so many. We are now starting over with 4 kids and almost nothing else; we urgently need help with funds for housing, & basic necessities as we take the first steps toward rebuilding our lives.

Asking for help sucks and is incredibly difficult, but we have no other choice. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a real difference. If you cannot give, sharing our story would help also.

Every act of kindness is a blessing and reminds us we are not alone.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support, generosity, and prayers as we begin to rebuild.
