My name is Amanda. I have been rescuing cats out of gate city Va on my own dime for a while now. Scott county does not have a shelter or any help for these cats. It took months for me to rescue one sick baby and I had planned on keeping him. I took him to the vet and spent $152 of my own money to get him seen and he had to be euthanized from illness. There’s 30-50 cats alone in gate city high school parking lot. There’s plenty more in other colonies around GC but I can only help one colony at a time. I am doing all of this on my own dime. They’re sick, skinny, have wounds all over them. It’s a lot for one person with 3 kids and 1 on the way to take on. I’ll continue to do it with or without help but the help will make things much more easy and many more can get fixed at a faster rate! I appreciate anyone who does have the heart or means to help or want to help. If you don’t have the means just pray for these babies.
