They say it takes a village to raise a child, well village, I need your help. Our 8-year-old daughter, Sophia, has an opportunity to go to L.A. to pursue her acting and comedy dreams and I am going with her on this new adventure. Unfortunately we had unexpected expenses which depleted our savings (and then some) - our basement flooded and our sewer backed up causing a ton of damage in our home. I couldn't stand the thought of telling my daughter we couldn't make this happen, so, instead, I am coming to you for help. I spoke to my friends and family, everyone said to take a leap of faith, to believe; sometimes it takes the people around us to believe in us before we believe in ourselves. If you have ever had a dream unfulfilled, then you know the pain that comes from the road not travelled; help Sophia turn this red light into a green light. I don't want her to look back on this moment in time and ask "what if," I want her to look back and say "we did" and, with your help, "WE CAN"; you are our four-leaf clovers, our lucky charms. We are heading out West in our Kia Sportage and have a long road ahead, my husband and 9-year-old son Nico will drive out with us and fly back home, without us; my heart hurts just thinking about living apart but we can't afford for all of us to stay. Gas, food, utilities, headshots, acting, voice and dance classes, graphic and web design, the list of expenses goes on. She is building a brand and is hoping to work with entrepreneurs who created their businesses after losing their jobs due to Covid. We want to support others that also decided to turn their red lights to green (I've been reading Matthew McConaughey's book "Greenlights" which is amazing FYI). We will be living in an RV in a family member's driveway in California, quarantining and posting videos of her adventures trying to make it in Hollywood during a pandemic.
