On the afternoon of September 15th, Shubham Prasad, a blooming 2 year old, died in his afternoon nap. Despite the desperate efforts to resucitate him by his parents and professionals, attempts were unsuccessful and the cause of death still undetermined. Those of us who knew Shubham, and the Prasad family, feel this loss deeply and grieve alongside his family.
Shubham was a special boy. He charmed everyone with his handsome smile and contagious energy. But beneath that buckling smile, Shubham also displayed determination and drive. He showcased athlecticism with his ability to run, catch, and throw. Shubham was also a huge cricket fan, taking after his father and namesake, walking around the house with his cricket bat, asking his dad to throw him the ball. it goes without saying that Shubham was a shining star to many.
Although Shubham's death is a tragedy beyonds words, we are honored to feel the strength and support of so many who have reached out to "Remember Shubham". As many of you know, a funeral and all its associated costs can be ominous, especially for a young family in graduate school. All monies donated to this fundraiser will be used to cover costs including:

- All associated funeral cost
- Travel accommodations for Alka & Shubham + Anita
On behalf of Alka,Shubham, Anita and the rest of the families, we would like to thank those who have already queried to the effect of contributing. We hope this platform offers a practical way towards helping Shubham's young family navigate this tragedy. Although money will never fill this void, it can help alleviate some of the burden and allow them to better focus on the family as they mourn their loss.
Thank you all so much, Alka,Shubham and Anita feel so much love and support it is astounding. Your love and generosity does not go unnoticed.
