Coralie Graham was tragically killed in a canyoneering accident in the Utah desert. She was doing something she loved, with people she loved, in the outdoors that brought her peace.
A memorial scholarship has been created in Coralie's name at the Philmont Staff Association.
The purpose of this scholarship is to honor Coralie's memory and her love for adventure, the outdoors, and helping others. Philmont is owned and operated by the Boy Scouts of America and is the largest youth camp in the world. Set in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico, Philmont provides the opportunity every summer for tens of thousands of scouts to have a wilderness experience that lasts a lifetime.
Coralie worked at Philmont for 10 seasons - it was a place she adored, where she cultivated a love for the outdoors and built an incredible network of friends. This scholarship will be used to fund the employment of staff members at Philmont, so they may continue to offer life-changing opportunities to people like Coralie.
