Mark and Jody Applebee have been good friends of ours for over 10 years. We met because their daughter Meghan and our son Ben shared the same pediatric cardiologist. Meghan received a heart transplant in 2011 and Ben received a heart transplant in 2013. Mark, Jody and Meghan were a great support to our family when Ben was going through the process.
Tragically Meghan passed away on June 27, 2014. Also tragically, Ben passed away suddenly October 20,2020.
Mark Applebee was diagnosed with tongue cancer and he and Jody will have to go to Sloan Kettering Hospital in NYC and live there for at least 2 months while Mark receives treatment. This will create a significant financial burden for Mark and Jody.
I am asking for donations to help support there living, travel and other expenses during this difficult time.
