Every school year, thousands of students at Mt. Hood Community College face food insecurity. Statistically, students facing food challenges are more likely to miss classes and suffer academically.
To help our students succeed, MHCC has partnered with the Oregon Food Bank to establish a food pantry on campus. Barney’s Food Pantry, created by students for students, serves as an emergency food resource. Its mission is to assist MHCC students in reaching their educational goals by providing emergency food services, education, and resources; but currently, the demand is more than the pantry can meet.
You can make a difference! By raising additional funds, we can enhance the support offered by Barney’s Food Pantry, allowing us to assist even more students in need.
Please consider a donation to MHCC’s Barney’s Pantry. Donations up to $30,000 will be matched, thanks to an effort by the MHCC Foundation.
