Help Alfonso Continue His Journey Back Home
Hi everyone,
I never thought I would find myself writing these words, but I’ve learned that sometimes the strongest thing we can do is admit when we need help.
My journey over the past months has been one of the hardest challenges of my life. I found myself in rehabilitation, facing days filled with uncertainty, anxiety, and fear about what my future would look like. There were moments when I questioned whether I would be able to get back to the life I once knew — to work, take care of myself, and feel independent again.
Some days were overwhelming. My body felt weak, my mind felt exhausted, and I struggled with the reality of how much my life had changed. But during my time in rehab, something happened that changed my perspective.
I met people who were also fighting their own battles. I had a conversation with someone who shared their own struggles with loneliness and hardship. Hearing their story reminded me that I wasn’t alone. It helped me realize that my story wasn’t over yet — that there were still people who cared about me, people waiting to see me come home, and a future worth fighting for.
That moment gave me hope.
I am still working every day to rebuild my strength, regain my independence, and move forward. But recovery comes with challenges, including medical expenses, medications, transportation, and everyday costs while I focus on healing.
I’m asking for help during this chapter of my life. Your support would give me the ability to focus on getting better without the constant worry of how I will manage financially.
If you’re able to donate, any amount would mean more than I can explain. If you’re unable to donate, sharing my story would be just as meaningful and could help me reach someone who can.
Thank you for taking the time to hear my story. Thank you for reminding me that I’m not alone. I’m fighting every day to get stronger, get home, and rebuild the life I still believe is waiting for me.
With gratitude,
Alfonso Rones
