Northern Appalachia School is committed to making high quality education accessible to all. Our Foundations of Bioregional Herbalism is geared toward students wanting to make a difference in their communities and landscapes while building themselves up through hard work and dedication to the work of herbalism, land stewardship, and social activism.
We believe healthcare is a human right. Education is a human right. Reclaiming our traditional knowledge is a human right. Herbalism is a pathway to liberation and sovereignty.
Northern Appalachia School overwhelming serves minorities and disparaged groups: women, single mothers, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent individuals make up most of our student body. We offer income based, sliding scale to all participants and additional scholarship funds to BIPOC students. This year alone we have provided over $10,000 in financial assistance to our students.
We need your help. We currently do not receive sponsorship or grant funding. Donating to this campaign helps us continue our mission of accessible education and supports the work of our teachers, as we continue to develop bioregional and decolonial educational programming and mutual aid projects. Please consider donating to support us and our current and future students.
