Help Us Bring History to Life and Empower Communities Nationwide!
Goal: $1 Million by 2025 to Launch Project Antietam
"I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong." – Frederick Douglass
At Project Antietam, we are a collective of passionate Black and Brown historians from diverse generations and experiences, united by our dedication to uncovering and sharing the untold stories of the Civil War. Our mission is simple yet transformative: to educate Americans about the lasting impact of the Civil War, empowering disenfranchised communities, honoring unsung heroes, and strengthening the bonds that unite us as a nation.
In 2025, we’re embarking on an ambitious journey to make history accessible and impactful for all. With your support, we’ll raise $1 million to scale Project Antietam into a nationwide initiative, reaching communities both online and in person.
Why This Matters
The Civil War shaped the America we know today, yet its lessons often remain buried in textbooks or inaccessible archives. As Black and Brown historians, we bring unique perspectives, experiences, and a deep commitment to ensuring that history reflects the voices and struggles of all Americans. Through Project Antietam, we aim to bring history to life, fostering a deeper understanding of our shared past and empowering communities to take civic action in the present.
