Aya is a young girl living and trying to survive in the Gaza Strip. She has suffered so much and is now facing displacement. I asked her to write up a bio and appeal so you could hear her voice:
Aya is a 14-year-old girl, her sister, Rehab, is 17, and her brother, Khalil, is 16. Before the war, Aya was a child living a happy, dignified life. Her only dreams were a keyboard, food, clothes, and outings. She wished to be a doctor or an engineer. But now, there is nothing to even dream about. Life has become extremely difficult. There are no schools for education or hospitals for treatment. Many of the displaced have become refugees due to suffering, ignorance, and lack of education. Life has not been easier. She has become even more suffering from water. After living a happy life, she accepted donations from friends so that she and her family could endure. She grew up and became determined to help her father. Her home was destroyed. Now, Aya hopes to help her and her family so that they can meet their basic needs.
My name is Allison Hull (@memorialcrumbs on Instagram) and I am honored to take over supporting Aya. She works so hard to help her family and I am so proud of her. I am not going to list her Instagram here, as Palestinian accounts are regularly shut down. Her account is in my bio. Thank you so much for your support.Β
