Hi, my name is Ollie, and I’m 18 years old. I’m reaching out because I’m trying to buy my very first car so I can continue working and pursue my dream of going to college. My goal is to raise $3,000, and every single donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer.
Growing up, money has always been a struggle for my family. I was raised by my single mom, who works incredibly hard to provide for us. I’m so grateful for everything she’s done, but because she’s constantly working, she’s not able to drive me where I need to go. I know she’s already carrying so much on her shoulders, and I don’t want to add to that burden.
I’ve been working hard to save money on my own, but with the paychecks I earn, it’s nearly impossible to save enough while also paying for everyday expenses. It feels like every time I make a little progress, something comes up that sets me back.
Over the past few years, life has brought challenges that have made getting ahead even harder. Even so, I’ve kept working, stayed determined, and refused to give up on my future. I want to continue working, attend college, and build a stable life for myself, but without reliable transportation, those goals become much more difficult to reach.
A car would mean so much more than just getting from one place to another. It would give me independence, make it possible to get to work without relying on others, help me get to college classes, and open the door to opportunities that I currently can’t access.
