When I first heard the word "cancer," my world stopped for a moment. Living in Waterbury, Connecticut, I’ve always found comfort in our tight-knit community, where people genuinely care about each other. Facing kidney cancer, however, has been one of the toughest challenges of my life. The diagnosis came unexpectedly, turning routine days into hospital visits and treatments. Despite the overwhelming nature of this journey, I’ve been embraced by incredible support from my family and friends. Their constant encouragement has given me strength on days I feel most vulnerable. Yet, the medical expenses have become a significant burden, making it hard to focus on what matters most — healing. Reaching my goal of $2,000 would ease the financial stress and allow me to concentrate on recovery. Through all of this, I’ve seen the beauty in small moments and experienced the love that surrounds us. I’m hopeful for the future and grateful for every kind word and gesture. It’s these connections that remind me I’m not facing this alone.
