My name is Axel Keller and I am 22 years old.
After years of battling autoimmune disease and months in the hospital, I had my colon removed in December 2025. I now live with an ostomy bag.
In June 2026, I will begin a 5,000 mile bikepacking journey across Europe, not just to ride, but to show that life after illness, surgery, or hardship can still be full of adventure.
Along the way, I plan to connect with others who have faced illness or life changing challenges, sharing stories of resilience from those who have found healing through the outdoors and movement, to those who have had to learn to live in a different body.
