My mother found an intact male Pit bull tied to a bench on September 10th. He was scanned at manhatten animal care and control and has been in my possession since Monday the 10th.
I live alone with a small provocative shih tzu mix, Nina and a dog like cat Gaia. Both females.
I have beens struggling to catch up on rent and ensure everyone's care adequately.
I was not prepared to take in another dog, but I simply could not say no and couldn't find it in my heart to surrender him to animal care and control.
I have been actively reaching out to different organizations in search of medical support, vaccinations, and a nueter procedure.
Understandably, shelters, rescues, and low income programs are overwhelmed, and understaffed.
Please help to share my story in hopes of helping me to secure medical needs without having to wait for assistance from organizations. I understand that everyone is struggling in one way or another.
I am willing to continue using my social security disability funds as I have these passed few months for my own animals, my mother's and another individual.
However I can not do so without continuing to put myself at risk for eviction .
