I am a new first-time homeowner and I have exhausted my fund's I am now having serious issues with the plumbing in my new home. I have tried to reach out to many city services for help, and they have all told me they don't have funding for plumbing or I have to be in the home for 1 year before I am eligible for any grants. I have only been in the home for 3 months. For two months l was in the hospital as a liver transplant recipient. I came home September 1st, about two weeks after I came home the sewer started backing up. I was told by the plummer (Snidermans hardware in Rochester N.Y.) l was in need of a lot line clean out that would cost $4100.00. Also there are other pipes in the house that are now leaking that have to be replaced. I am a 63 year old Grandmother of 3 little girls whose mother passed away 6 years ago. I have full custody of them with no support from their fathers. I brought the house in good faith so that my Granddaughters would have a place where my son would be able to come and take care of them if something should happen to me. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
