Hello, my name is Robert Terrell and I am an artist. I have been an artist since about age 5. I've never really wanted to be anything else, and I've had some success, for sure. In the 1980s and 1990s in Houston I displayed my artwork in galleries in Houston, TX and sold quite a few.
But now it's been many years and because of circumstances I'm stuck in a town that doesn't really have any real opportunities for artists. Also, I don't have a vehicle. I'm not so young anymore and I feel like it's now or never.
I want to move to Santa Fe, New Mexico. It's a GREAT place for artists. I'm retired for a few years and I have been working hard on my paintings. I need to move to Santa Fe and get established in a gallery; get established as an artist there.
So I'm hoping to raise $2,500, perhaps a big more, to move to Santa Fe, and rent a studio/living space. I have my social security and pension from my job, but it's just not quite enough to enable me to blast off to Santa Fe and get a firm footing there.
I'm hoping some of you could spare a few dollars to help me make my dream come true. It's really all I'm working toward now. Thank you so much :)
