Need some help before we lose what little we have left. Short story we need a car to be able to save what we have. To know why its so important please read on. My name is Sondra Ive been married for 22 years to a man named Jason. Jason worked and supported our family the whole time and that has been taken away little by little to where we've lost everything. He lost his job of 14 years December 16 2019. The date is seared in my head cause that's where this downfall started. His boss called at 6 that night said company is closed and he no longer has a job. He also mentioned he wouldn't be getting the 3 weeks of pay he was due and the $2500 retainer either. He found another job a month later the company held back 3 weeks of pay. Then covid hit. They shut down immediately in March. We got 2 weeks of checks after fighting and scratching for gas money just to do the jobs. We've been homeless lived in his work van. While homeless learned about unemployment for subcontractors took forever to get begged on the streets for food and gas money. We finally got the unemployment found a cheap apartment paid rent up 7 months and then the unemployment was froze for almost 3 months. I knew it was going to be difficult to find jobs but didn't realize it was gonna be just about impossible. That's where this comes in. We could be working right now but as soon as we found jobs our van broke down beyond repair. Well for us anyways. Now our only hope before we lose what little we've managed to get together and now don't even have the van to live in WE NEED A CAR. If we could get a car we would be able to get things somewhat manageable in a month or less. If we could get a car we would be able to work 24/7 doing Uber and Lyft. So please if anyone can give anything to help out complete strangers in a really bad spot it would be more than appreciated it would really be saving a couple whose done everything we could to just survive and we would be able to start a life again. We also promise if we are ever able to pass it on.
