My mother aka miss coko was born and raised in yonkers ny projects called school street! She moved to the Bronx in the late 70's with my older brother. She met my father Luis in the bronx. we were raised on cauldwell avenue across the street from forest projects and mikenlys peoject. They were together for 35 years until his passing in 2016. He was the love of her life and i believe she has been living with a broken heart ever since!  between covid and her Recently being diagnosed with a few weeks to live due to a genetic heart disease that we literally found out ran in our family which was done by a genetic DNA specialist due to our momma contineous heart failure. our momma is the sweetest thing out here! She is an ex panther and have always stood up for afro latino rights and she loves the Lord with every taking breath! unfortunately she does not have life insurance and as a family my brother and i are trying to full fill her home going! if you are able to or you are led to give to help alleviate some financial challenges my brother and i will gladly accept any assistance offered. My mother has touched many with her protest, shut ins, sit ins and community advocacy!
