Doug is a 15 month old doodle, 75 pound male who has been failed by humans several times and after a brief 2 month adoption after being rescued from the overcrowded shelter, he has regressed and has become leash reactive with other dogs so the adopter gave up on him and dumped him at the shelter again. He was rescued from shelter a second time and we thought we found a foster but she unfortunately also dumped him at the shelter where he was first rescued from. Shelter staff deemed him not adoptable and requested that the rescue organization surrender him with a request for euthanasia but the wonderful rescue organization people with whom Dougie had previous contact with know Dougie is a good dog and he now really needs professional training and we need help paying for his professional evaluation and training for him, PLEASE!!!!! We are hoping that one day soon, he will be a lot less reactive or even better, not reactive at all and find a wonderful family to love him and adore him for the true Gem 💎 that he is. Please help Welcome Home Sanctuary help Doug be the good doggie boy he is supposed to be. Let’s show him that humans are not all bad and that we want to help him be successful. He needs our help.
