Being a Brazilian woman is an open invitation for people to put me in a box with their preconceptions of who I am. Through my work, I unapologetically show my real identity.
FLYING GLASS is a suspense short film about a volatile young girl who, after finding out her mother has invented her past in a scrapbook, tries to discover herself while her fierce mother struggles to protect the daughter from her own psychotic nature.
It’s about the grieving process of a mother who slowly loses her sweet and loving daughter’s image that she built herself. And about a little girl who is trying to discover herself after her mom curated memories and happiness that never actually existed, fighting against her darkest impulses.
I am shooting on a beautiful ART FARM in PA and I need to book a hotel for all the actors, make sure they will be well fed and have safe transportation. On top of that, I am spending a fair amount of money on releasing butterflies into a room for the climax of my film and that will make the film so beautiful and special.
