The majority of you may not know, but our father had a brain aneurysm in 2021. Due to insurance issues, he was unable to get the surgery to get it taken care of. In 2022, he was diagnosed with AFIB and has been battling heart irregularity since. Finally earlier this year, doctors and insurance agreed to a cranial aneurysm embolism and scheduled it for June 24th. The surgery went very well and a stint was placed in the brain to increase the blood flow to prevent any more blood clots. After the surgery, his neurosurgeon and the ICU nurses all agreed he was ready to be released without complications. However, on July 3rd, 2023, Dennis experienced multiple strokes. One was in the frontal lobe at the aneurysm site and the other was near the back of the brain. The doctors, surgeons and staff at Medical City Fort Worth worked day in and day out to monitor him for any further complications. Two angiograms later, he was on the road to recovery. After 18 days in the ICU and rehab (occupational, speech and physical), he was released on July 21st. Due to doctors orders and the extensive amount of rehab he will be going through. he will not be able to work and is being relocated to live with family. The living conditions were not suitable for his needs and therefore we are trying to clear out his rent house and clean up the trash, debris, and furniture.
He will have medical bills that will start coming in very soon and still needs out patient therapy. Dad has helped many people over the years and we are hoping that others that are able will be able to help him now. If you are able to donate it will go towards relocation expenses, medical bills and helping with monthly expenses he has. We are reaching out to anyone who can help with financial assistance for this unprecedented situation. We are very thankful to those who have already helped and given their love and time to Dennis and I know he is thankful for you all. Thank you for your consideration and prayers.
